Live Trading Diary, Day 40: Today I nearly gave all my profits back because I couldn’t keep my hands off the trades.
I went to bed early last night, and when I checked the market this morning, my heart sank. BTC spent the whole day dithering around 82,664, touched a high of 83,529 before getting pushed back down, and hit a low of 82,286—a classic choppy market that wears you down. My AI system’s signal was stuck on “Wait and see,” but I couldn’t resist.
PEPE has been getting a lot of buzz lately, and retail traders have been piling in. I thought I’d take a shot at a quick trade. But less than two hours after I entered, it started pulling back… I panicked and hit the stop-loss right away. I didn’t lose much, but it wrecked my mindset. That’s a classic case of “twitchy fingers.”
Actually, in a choppy market, both ETH and BTC are moving sideways on the 4-hour chart. This is exactly when you should avoid trading too frequently. The AI system didn’t give a buy signal, so I should’ve kept my hands off. I admit it—I was just looking to make a quick buck, and the market slapped me for it. My position is light now, so I feel a bit more at ease. At least I don’t have to stare blankly at the screen…
Brothers, in a choppy market, do you choose to stay in cash and tough it out, or do you give in like me and take a chance on small-cap coins?
