On October 8, Chainlink launched CCIP Vault Adapters: the cross-chain interoperability protocol for $LINK now lets DeFi vaults deployed on a single “home chain” receive deposits from more than 80 chains with one click. Accounting, strategies, and governance remain on the home chain, eliminating the need to deploy repeatedly across chains or split liquidity. Previously, users had to bridge assets themselves, switch networks, and complete multiple transactions. Now, adapters combine cross-chain deposits into a single flow.

Standard ERC-4626 vaults can be connected through a factory contract, with no need to write custom cross-chain code. Vault receipt tokens can also be configured as Cross-Chain Tokens (CCTs), making it easier to use shares in composable applications on other networks. Early adopters include $AAVE (extending sGHO vault capabilities beyond Ethereum), Lombard (directly depositing BTC.b on Avalanche into Ethereum vaults), Venus (lending on BNB Chain), as well as Maple, Re, United Stables, and Veda.
