$LPT is standing out today relative to the broader market, up about 12% over 24 hours on Binance Spot, with the current price around 1.97 USDT and trading volume in the range of six to seven million U. By comparison, $BTC has been nearly flat over the same period (up about 0.2%).

The catalyst lines up: Livepeer announced that it will release the Livepeer 2.0 litepaper before 10/11. The core idea is to address the issue of “issuance outpacing fees”: half of the fees would be used to buy and burn LPT on the market, while new issuance would go only to real, verifiable work. It tightens both sides of supply and demand, rather than just telling a story.

Note that this is still a proposed design, not a burn mechanism that has already launched; implementation would still require simulations, an audit, and a governance vote. In the short term, the market may trade on expectations first. The actual pace of implementation is what to watch afterward.
