What is a zero-knowledge proof?
Launched in 2016, Zcash was one of the first public blockchains to use zk-SNARKs for anonymous transactions. Common proof systems include zk-SNARKs and zk-STARKs: many zk-SNARK schemes require a trusted setup, while zk-STARKs do not.
“Zero knowledge” means that the verifier learns nothing beyond the fact that “the claim is true”—it does not mean that no information is conveyed.
$ZK is the token of ZKsync, a ZK Rollup network.
