Two 200K prize pools go their separate ways at 9 PM tonight: STABLE still has a full day left at 2.0x

Binance Alpha currently has two 200K trading competitions running at the same time, and 9 PM tonight (Beijing time) is the dividing line: one competition’s 2.0x early-bird window closes right then, while the other gets to keep it for another full day. The same amount of buying volume can count very differently toward the rankings depending on whether you enter before or after tonight. I’ve broken down the rules for both competitions—here’s the bottom line.

First, the one whose multiplier changes tonight. Season 1 of $ZEST (Zest Protocol) runs from October 8 at 9 PM to October 15 at 9 PM. The top 2,000 traders, ranked by buying volume, split 556,000 ZEST, with 278 tokens per person. Today is Day 2—the final 2.0x window—and once 9 PM hits, it drops to 1.8x on Day 3.

The other competition is $STABLE (Stable), which started just one day ago. Season 1 runs from October 9 at 9 PM to October 16 at 9 PM, with identical rules: the top 2,000 traders split 3.85 million STABLE based on buying volume, receiving 1,925 tokens each. It’s only just finished Day 1, so at 9 PM tonight it enters Day 2—and stays at 2.0x, meaning it gets to keep that multiplier for another full day. It won’t drop to 1.8x until 9 PM tomorrow.

Both competitions have a low barrier to entry: anyone eligible to trade on Binance Alpha can participate, with no additional KYC required. Rankings are based solely on your cumulative buying volume of the relevant token, and the top 2,000 split the rewards. There are also two types of bonuses: “Rising Traders” who haven’t received many Alpha trading competition rewards get a 1.2x multiplier on their actual buying volume, and the earlier you trade, the higher your multiplier.

My take: at tonight’s 9 PM cutoff, STABLE is clearly the higher priority—the 2.0x window for ZEST is about to close, while STABLE has another full day, the per-person reward of 1,925 tokens is nearly 7 times ZEST’s, and the competition runs a week longer. If you already planned to buy ZEST, signing up before 9 PM tonight is an easy extra. But chasing a new Alpha token just for the 2.0x multiplier isn’t worth it.

As always, a reminder: the prize pool pays out tokens, not cash. New Alpha tokens are volatile, so if the price drops, the value of your rewards drops with it. Since rewards are split by ranking, plenty of people are competing on buying volume—so only participate with pocket money.

Both competitions hit a turning point tonight. Are you choosing STABLE, which still has a full day left at 2.0x, or sticking to the token you already planned to buy?
