📊 Market Watch | Major coins trade calmly sideways at midday on October 10, while institutional activity heats up

First, a freshly updated price snapshot (CoinGecko, 24h):

$BTC is currently around $82,541, up 0.16% over 24h, and continues to move within a range, with both bulls and bears showing restraint;
$ETH is around $2,490.79, down 0.04% over 24h, essentially flat and waiting for a clear direction;
BNB is around $744.95, up 0.55% over 24h, making it relatively the strongest of the four major coins today;
Solana is around $109.7, down 0.70% over 24h, with a weak short-term pullback.

A few developments behind the data are worth watching:

1) Institutional activity: CoinDesk Chinese reported that OKX received investment from Standard Chartered, Circle, and Ripple, and is moving toward becoming a global fintech platform spanning payments and tokenized assets. The Solana Foundation has also launched a plan for institutional trades to settle in seconds, with input from JPMorgan Chase.

2) Infrastructure: Ahead of Ethereum's Glamsterdam testing, a key fix has been completed. The block gas limit may later rise to around 200 million, a long-term variable for Layer 2 and high-frequency applications.

3) Compliance and payments: The U.S. FinCEN withdrew two pending proposals concerning self-hosted wallets. Stripe plans to expand its stablecoin card to more than 100 countries by year-end, making the rollout of stablecoin payments more important to track than prices.

In short: prices are consolidating in a narrow range, while institutions, payments, and scaling are all advancing. During a sideways market, it is often more important to see who is quietly laying the groundwork than to focus on a single green candle.
