How are spot trading fees calculated, and what are they charged on? Don't worry—your class rep is here to explain:
Spot trading fees are usually calculated by multiplying the transaction amount by the fee rate. A fee is charged for each completed trade, and partially filled orders are charged only on the portion that was filled.
When estimating profit and loss, remember to include the fees for both buying and selling. If you look only at the price difference, you'll overestimate your net profit.
The first page of my trading journal says: Understand it before you place an order.
