#TOKEN2049 Treasure Hunt · Entry 16 DAY6
Being near CHIJMES in Singapore always brings me peace of mind ❤️
The line that stuck with me most at the BNB Chain Super Meetup the afternoon before yesterday: Issuing an asset doesn’t mean there’s a market for it.
@leoneast_: Issuing an asset alone doesn’t automatically create a market. You need a pricing asset that can support depth and settlement.
One example is pPOLY/$U on @BinanceWallet: it surpassed 500 million in less than two weeks, reaching around 577 million in total.
@UnitasLabs: Going on-chain is just the first step; liquidity and settlement are still needed.
@predictdotfun: Prediction markets are on the “making it tradable” side.
@Paimon_Finance: After issuing an asset, you still have to ask where it can be traded. In traditional markets, people are still making calls and sending emails; on-chain, the race is to capture that liquidity.
One table brought issuance and trading together, just like that.
Tonight, @yayabinance @moonkimbinance @pearbinance also invited me to enjoy some of Singapore’s finest Cantonese cuisine 😍
I also learned that @BinanceWallet has launched an on-chain Plaza, where on-chain traders can now share their views directly in Binance Wallet. I’m going to give it a try when I get back.
The arrangements for TOKEN2049 @BNB Chain were as thoughtful as ever: church stained-glass windows, wasp-nest lamps, and a table full of delicious food. Thank you for the invitation. Binance is lucky to have you. ❤️
