Why, when you send Bitcoin, does the block explorer show that some coins have gone back to another address of yours?
A UTXO can only be spent once. If the payment amount is less than the UTXO's value, the excess is returned to the sender's address as change.
Using the same Bitcoin address to receive payments makes it easy to expose your transaction history, so many wallets generate a new address by default for each payment and change output.
