Attention, crypto users with older iPhone software!
Security firm Censys has found that the DarkSword attack toolkit targeting iPhones is still active. It may steal sensitive information and recovery phrases from wallets such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and Phantom.
The risk is mainly concentrated in iOS 26.2 and earlier versions that haven't received security patches, including some older versions of iOS 18.
The known vulnerabilities have been fixed in iOS 26.3.
We recommend updating your system as soon as possible. And never save screenshots of your recovery phrase in your Photos or Notes app.
