**⛏️ Every day, Bitcoin “prints” ~US$ 37 million. Who’s buying all of it?**

A calculation almost no one makes:

🧮 A new block is created every ~10 minutes → **~144 blocks per day**
🧮 Current reward (since the April 2024 halving): **3.125 BTC per block**
🧮 **144 × 3.125 = ~450 new BTC per day**
💵 At ~US$ 83,000, that’s **~US$ 37 million per day** in new supply

**Now for the curious detail 👀**
Over the last 5 trading days, US spot Bitcoin ETFs have received an average of **~US$ 35 million per day**. In other words: **ETF demand was practically equal to the daily issuance.**

When ETFs came in strong (averaging ~US$ 340 million per day during September’s rally), demand was **about 9 times greater** than new supply. That’s when the price went from ~US$ 76,000 to ~US$ 87,000.

**What this suggests:**
📌 When demand barely covers issuance, the price tends to move sideways or fluctuate more
📌 When demand far exceeds issuance, there’s upward pressure
📌 In 2028, the reward drops to **1.5625 BTC per block**, and daily new supply is cut in half

**To keep an eye on:** compare ETF flows with the ~450 daily BTC. It’s a simple gauge of supply and demand.
