Asked: Why are there only 21 million bitcoins?
My answer: Bitcoin’s total supply is capped at around 21 million, based on the rule that block rewards are halved periodically. Bitcoin halvings are often linked to bull and bear market cycles, but so far there have only been four to look at. Past trends don’t mean they’ll repeat in the future.
