6.26 million BTC hang over the market

A Dragonfly partner opposes “fortress mode” and proposes pre-binding backup signatures, with validators forced to recover funds if the system is breached. Glassnode: Public keys for 6.26 million BTC are exposed, representing 31% of the total supply. Exchange exposure is nearly 1.8 million BTC, or 57% of their balances.

If AI breaks ECDSA, stolen coins from old addresses could be dumped first, crashing the market. New addresses protect private keys, but not market value. Recovery mechanisms could become a new factor for bulls and bears.
