The exchange balance of $ETH has dropped again.
I just came across this figure and took a closer look.
Put simply, there are fewer coins sitting on exchanges ready to be sold.
It’s not complicated.
Fewer coins on exchanges means fewer tokens that can be dumped at any moment.
With less selling pressure, the price should have an easier time holding steady.
But don’t rush to call for a huge rally.
There are two possible reasons for the drop in the balance.
One is that people are withdrawing their coins to hold them, with no plans to sell.
The other is that they’ve simply moved them somewhere else—they may not be locked up.
So I see this data as somewhat positive, but not as a starting gun.
What really matters is what happens next.
If the balance keeps falling while the price holds steady, that would show the coins are genuinely being taken off the market.
If the balance falls but the price doesn’t follow, then it’s the same old story: no buyers stepping in.
I’m not chasing the price here. I’ll wait and see if it can hold steady.
