BTC Futures Night Session: Levels Matter More Than Direction
Before price speaks, leverage should stay quiet.
Futures only care about three sets of numbers. Everything else is noise.
1. BTC at 82,594; 24h range 81,604–83,529; change +0.99%.
2. BTC open interest notional: $7.65 billion, 24h +0.17%.
3. Account-wide long/short ratio: 1.48.
My take: The funding rate is near zero at 0.0035%, and the long/short ratio is 1.48. Leverage hasn't picked a side. If it hasn't picked a side, don't use high leverage to pick one for it.
Execution levels (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Breakout zone: Only consider chasing above 83,255; below that, it's a false breakout.
- Buy-the-retest zone: 81,603–82,098; don't buy if it loses this level.
- No-trade zone: If the 1h candle closes below 81,107, skip this trade.
My position: I only buy retests; I don't chase breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a starter position. Any additions must wait for the retest zone.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change). Missing figures are left blank.
Are you flat and waiting for a retest, or already in the trade?
