In Japan, Nikkei 225 futures for December 2026 delivery ended the Osaka Exchange night session at 68,970, down 500 points and 60.92 points below the Nikkei Stock Average's cash close of 69,030.92, on volume of 5,831 contracts. TOPIX futures stood at 4,137, up 14.5 points.
South Korea's index-futures night session was closed Friday, Oct. 9, for Hangeul Day.
Hong Kong's October Hang Seng Index futures closed the night session at 24,363, up 171 points, on volume of 16,867 contracts, while the NASDAQ Golden Dragon China Index rose 2.7% to 5,753. In ADR trade, Alibaba's U.S. shares stood at an HK$109.26 equivalent, 2.12% above their Hong Kong close; Meituan's ADR was at HK$72.44, up 1.32%; Tencent's ADR was at HK$428.54, up 0.88%; and the HSBC ADR was at HK$145.96, up 0.52%.
Taiwan's index-futures night session was closed Friday, Oct. 9, for the National Day make-up holiday.
