Today's topic: Wei Dai
The smallest unit of Ethereum, wei, is generally believed to be named after Wei Dai. 1 ETH equals 10 to the 18th power wei.
The names of early cryptographers are often used to name new tokens. Don't follow the trend if the name has nothing to do with the project.
The white paper for $BTC lists Wei Dai's b-money as its first reference. Currently 82602.32.
Just my personal perspective; I may not be right, so take it with a grain of salt.
