Knowledge Card: Reduce-Only
A Reduce-Only order can only reduce an existing position. It cannot increase the position or open a new position in the opposite direction.
In One-Way Mode, the same buy or sell order can either open or close a position. Reduce-Only is used to make clear that the order can only close a position, not open one.
In One-Way Mode, it’s customary to select Reduce-Only for closing orders and conditional orders.
