Came across a post on the Uniswap Labs blog: its own L2, Unichain, is upgrading to OP Enterprise to prepare for native interoperability with the OP Stack.
The testnet migrates first on 10/13, with mainnet expected around 10/29. The team says the Chain ID, contracts, balances, and Uniswap v2/v3/v4 deployments will all remain unchanged. After the upgrade, assets (ETH will be supported first) can move directly between Unichain and other OP Stack chains, without going through a cross-chain bridge. It will remain a Stage 1 rollup, with permissionless fault proofs, and the sequencer will run on Optimism's production stack.
One less bridge layer between L2s—it does sound a little more reassuring. #Unichain #OPStack $UNI
