Live Trading Journal, Day 39: I’ve been staring at ETH’s candlestick chart so long I’m starting to question my life.

Just $9 short. It hit a high of 2,521 today, but couldn’t quite hold above that round-number 2,500 level… My system gave a mildly bullish signal in the early hours, so I opened a position around 2,480. I’m slightly in the green now, but honestly, my hands are still shaking. I didn’t dare get in during that run to 2,450 earlier, and now that I’ve chased it, I’m worried it’s a fake breakout. I’m being ridiculously chicken.

Everyone on the trending page is talking about Ethereum breaking above $2,500, but I’m staying calm. It’s only up 0.6% in 24 hours, with trading volume of 429 million U. Is that enough volume to support a major move? BTC is ranging too; there’s no clear direction on the 4-hour chart. My system is signaling me to sit tight for now, and I don’t dare take a large position in either direction.

I also came across news that Solana plans to cut its block time to 200 milliseconds. That kind of narrative is more interesting than people yelling “buy”… But I’m not putting in any more real money for now. Position management matters more than anything.

Am I being too cautious, or is this how you stay in the game?
