On Ethereum, failed transactions are still included in blocks. Their status is shown as failed, and the Gas already spent is usually not refunded.
Block explorers only display public on-chain data. You don't need to connect a wallet to look up a transaction. If a page asks you to connect a wallet before you can view it, it may be a fake.
Save the block explorers you use regularly as bookmarks, and don't open them from search ads. Fake block explorers exist too.
