According to the Bizjiguan website, Apple has cut orders for the iPhone 18 Pro due to weak demand. According to a Nikkei report, several sources familiar with the matter said that a significant increase in memory chip prices had forced Apple to raise prices, dampening consumer demand. Apple has asked some suppliers to reduce production of components for the newly released iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Two sources said that orders for components this month were cut by at least 15% compared with the initial requirements. One company executive noted: “In October alone, we saw Apple cut orders for these two premium models by 15–20%.” Another source familiar with the matter suggested that this could be related to Apple changing its iPhone model release schedule. This year, Apple released three premium models first, while the standard iPhone 18 and the next-generation iPhone Air are scheduled to launch next spring.
