Selling Data Means Giving It Away 💾

A company with a valuable dataset can only sell it by handing over a copy, and the moment the copy exists the buyer never needs to come back.

$TAO built a market where contributors are paid for work other participants can assess, and on $SOL the same problem blocks anything similar for data, because a program has to be handed a full input before it can return anything useful from it.

So the datasets worth the most are the ones that never reach a market at all. They get used internally or not used.

Arcium sells the answer instead of the file. A buyer's question and a seller's data go in as fragments across a cluster of nodes, no node holds enough to read either, and what comes back is the result the buyer paid for.

Solana records the payment and the result the way it records anything else, so both sides have proof the exchange happened.

Arcium runs that exchange in production today, with AI teams among those building on it.

Data has only ever been sellable once, and Arcium is how a Solana market rents access to it instead.
