U.S. corn forecasts weigh on European wheat prices
- European wheat prices fell on Friday after the U.S. Department of Agriculture raised its estimate for the U.S. corn crop, pushing corn prices lower and pulling wheat down with them.

The December milling wheat contract on the Paris-based Euronext exchange closed 1.1% lower at 241.50 euros ($270.21) per metric ton. Chicago wheat futures also fell 2.4% to $5.00 per bushel.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced on Friday that American farmers would harvest more corn and soybeans than previously expected.
