Sector rotation is more worth noting than index moves
Don’t use last week’s rate-cut story to explain today’s market.
Let the numbers speak first, then share your take.
US 10-year Treasury 5.25% (5-day -1.22%)
VIX 14.83 (5-day -4.45%)
Nasdaq 27,346 (5-day +0.57%, Yahoo)
My take: VIX is at 14.83, with volatility being suppressed. At these levels, US stocks can easily grind higher. Don’t use gains in US stocks as an excuse to lever up in crypto. If VIX bounces, leveraged positions get wrecked first.
Crypto comparison: BTC 82717 (24h +2.45%), ETH 2489 (+3.14%). ETH’s +3.14% is stronger than BTC’s +2.45%, with the ETH/BTC ratio at 0.03009. That looks like risk appetite spilling over—not BTC moving on its own.
What to watch next: See whether the 10-year yield can stabilize. If yields keep climbing, I’ll treat rallies in growth stocks and BTC as retracements.
My positioning: I only buy pullbacks, not breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a core position; any increase has to wait for a pullback to my entry zone.
