For a long time, I thought the main thing in staking was simply finding the coin with the highest yield 😅
But the more I learn, the more I realize that APY is far from the only thing worth looking at.
For example, if I compare $ETH and $SOL, this is how it looks to me:
🔹 ETH — a mature ecosystem, strong decentralization, and a huge number of users and stakers.
🔹 SOL — high transaction speeds, low fees, and a very active ecosystem.
🔹 Yield is only one part of the picture. A higher APY doesn’t automatically mean it’s the better option.
🔹 Risks matter too. I’d look at network stability, liquidity, fees, and my own tolerance for volatility.
Personally, I wouldn’t choose between ETH and SOL based only on the APY figure.
For me, ETH is more about maturity and long-term fundamentals.
SOL is about speed, activity, and growth potential.
But in crypto, as always, there’s no one-size-fits-all option 👀
