ZEC is up almost 8% today to $1,224, and honestly it looks more like a relief bid than a fresh trend. Two days ago it flushed to $1,113 with about $38M in leveraged longs wiped out, after its ETF saw redemptions in 5 of 6 sessions.
What is pulling buyers back? Two developer-side stories. Zakura is targeting January 2027 to introduce quantum-resistant hash-based signatures in Zcash's transparent pool, and the network upgrade proposed for Nov 5 would send 60% of transaction fees into a reserve instead of paying miners immediately. That is a real supply-side story if it passes.
Chart-wise, 1,300 is the level that matters. ZEC lost its rising trendline on the way down, and the 9-day moving average sits right there at about $1,305. Below, 1,195 is the line to hold.
