President Donald Trump signed a memorandum on Wednesday, 07/10, establishing a formal investigative committee to investigate allegations of real estate fraud against Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook, and ordered her to attend a hearing at the White House on 05/11.
The investigative committee will consist of National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, the chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the director of the Office of Government Ethics. The hearing scheduled for 05/11 will be closed to the public, fully recorded, and will last no more than four hours. Cook may submit a written statement in advance and attend with legal counsel.
