💵 dotUSD stablecoin launched officially on the Polkadot network!
The Polkadot network announced the launch of its own stablecoin, dotUSD, to provide a fully decentralized alternative in the market.
📌 News details:
Full decentralization: unlike companies that monopolize the stablecoin market (which exceeds $250 billion), there is no issuing company or a single controlling entity for dotUSD.
Community management: the coin is governed and developed entirely through the DOT DAO organization via the OpenGov open governance system.
With dotUSD, the Polkadot ecosystem now has a dedicated, independent stablecoin that belongs directly to its network.
📈 Direct impact on the $DOT token:
Increase ecosystem liquidity (DeFi TVL): the presence of a native, decentralized stablecoin boosts trading activity and liquidity within financial applications on the Polkadot network without relying on external parties.
Raise the utility value of the $DOT token: governing dotUSD through governance (DOT DAO) strengthens the role and importance of token $DOT in voting and on-chain/programmatic decisions, supporting the ecosystem and enhancing the token’s long-term investment value.
