The Federal Reserve's latest Survey of Consumer Finances shows rising debt pressure among U.S. households, with loan delinquencies increasing noticeably. According to ChainCatcher, the median household debt service-to-income ratio rose to 15.4%, up 2 percentage points from 2022.
The share of households with a heavy debt service burden climbed to 8.6%, the highest level since 2013.
