#霍尔木兹通航降至两月低位 Oil prices surge 4%
【Old Chive's Take】
Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has fallen to a more than two-month low. On October 8, Brent crude rose about 4.1% for the day, closing at $104.28 per barrel.
But on October 9, the market shifted again: signs of easing emerged from U.S.-Iran talks, and oil prices retreated, with Brent briefly returning to around $103.
There are three things about this that are worth watching in the crypto market:
🔹 Elevated oil prices: Persistently high energy costs could add to inflationary pressure.
🔹 Rate-cut expectations: If inflationary pressure proves persistent, the Fed may have less room to ease policy, and risk assets could become more sensitive.
🔹 Geopolitical tensions: The real turning point isn't verbal assurances, but whether ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz recovers on a sustained basis.
Old Chive's Take:
This doesn't mean that if oil prices rise, $BTC will necessarily fall. What's more important now is to watch whether oil prices continue to retreat and how BTC actually responds to macroeconomic news.
If oil prices fall while BTC strengthens, that may indicate easing market pressure. If oil prices surge again and BTC struggles to rebound, keep an eye on whether risk appetite is cooling once more.
