#zcash计划1月支持抗量子签名 $ZEC

This time, there’s actually something to it: quantum computers haven’t really come for us yet, but Zcash is already figuring out how to defend against them. 😂

According to reports, Zcash is moving ahead with a quantum-resistant upgrade, aiming to introduce hash-based digital signatures around January 2027 to get ahead of the private-key security risks that future quantum computing could pose.

Not long ago, people were still discussing how millions of bitcoins could be vulnerable to future quantum attacks because their public keys have been exposed.

Now Zcash is already preparing for that possibility. And this time, it’s not just about quantum resistance—the developers are also researching a privacy technology that would let you check your wallet balance without revealing your address to the server.

In other words, the goal is to protect both your assets and your wallet privacy.

The upgrade timeline hasn’t been finalized yet, though, and whether the technology can be successfully implemented remains to be seen.

People used to speculate on privacy coins because other people couldn’t see your money. In the future, they may speculate on them because even quantum computers can’t touch your money.

With the privacy narrative stacked on top of the quantum-resistance narrative, $ZEC is definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Whether this can spark a new market rally depends on whether investors are willing to buy into the story. 😂
