#以太坊清算额达3.56亿美元
During this latest crypto crash, Ethereum took a harder hit than Bitcoin—something I didn’t expect. 😂
According to CoinGlass data, over the past 24 hours, $ETH saw liquidations totaling as much as $356 million, even more than the $298 million for $BTC .
The market saw nearly $1.19 billion in liquidations overall, more than $1 billion of which came from long positions. It was basically a massacre of the bulls.
Most outrageous of all, a nearly $20 million ETH position on Hyperliquid was liquidated outright.
A big reason Ethereum fell so hard this time is that bullish traders had piled on too much leverage.
Even a slight dip in price started triggering liquidations. The resulting sell orders pushed prices down further, eventually setting off a chain reaction of liquidations.
Add in macroeconomic headwinds and geopolitical tensions, and ETH briefly dropped to around $2,410.
People used to call Ethereum the crypto market’s number two. Well, now it doesn’t always outperform Bitcoin on the way up, but when it comes to liquidations, it managed to take first place. 😭
This market cycle is another reminder that getting the direction right doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll make money. With too much leverage, you might not even get the chance to wait for a rebound.
