Why can someone who knows your recovery phrase take your assets directly?
Legitimate wallet and platform support teams will never ask for your recovery phrase. Anyone who asks you to provide your recovery phrase or private key is trying to scam you.
The password you set for your wallet is only used to open it on this device. To restore your wallet on another device, you need your recovery phrase.
