Don't Give Up — Edgar A. Guest (1881–1959).
“When things go wrong, as they sometimes will;
When the road you’re traveling seems like a steep hill;
When money is scarce and debts grow, and you want to smile but can only sigh; when worries weigh you down: rest if you must, BUT DON’T GIVE UP.
Life is strange, with its twists and turns, as we all learn sometime;
And many failures happen when we might have succeeded if only we had persisted.
Don’t give up, even if progress seems slow: you might make it with one final effort.
Success is failure turned inside out: the silver lining in the clouds of doubt;
And you never know how close you are, for it may be near when it seems far away.
So keep fighting when the blow hits hardest: it’s precisely when things seem worst that YOU MUST NOT GIVE UP.”
