$CHIP This drop is looking pretty ugly.
It plunged 2.91% in 15m, with volume surging to over 8 times the average and the active buy/sell ratio at 0.49—sellers were almost completely in control. But here's the interesting part: OI is also falling, down around 2% on both the 15m and 1h, with notional value shrinking by nearly 500k U.
Price down + OI down: this isn't new shorts entering; it looks more like longs getting stopped out in a cascade. Stop-losses, deleveraging, position cuts—whatever it is, someone isn't actively building short positions.
The anomaly percentile is 99.6%, second-highest across the whole pool. The close also broke below the low of the last 20 or so 5m candles, tearing straight through the recent range.
I generally don't like trying to catch a move with this kind of structure. With volume this high and OI shrinking, leverage is flowing out—not changing hands. I'll wait for OI to stabilize before taking another look.
