$JCT This time, a full high-volume hourly candle finally closed above the previous high, so the repair thesis can move one step forward—but I’ll still wait for a pullback and see whether buyers step in. Trading activity clearly recovered, but aggressive buying did not gain a corresponding edge. That divergence is the most important thing to watch right now. In the 21:04 full-market scan, JCTUSDT perpetual was up about 59.57% over 24 hours, ranking second; its rank and gain cannot replace post-breakout confirmation.

In the previous update, the 19:00–20:00 candle closed at 0.002417, just back inside the old repair zone of 0.002392–0.002421, but had not cleared its upper boundary. The current 20:00–21:00 candle opened at 0.002417 and closed at 0.002482, up about 2.69% for the hour. It not only closed above 0.002421, but also moved above the prior 0.002455–0.002476 range. Compared with the previous update, what’s new is a full-hour close above the old high, along with a recovery in trading activity over the same-length window.

Trading volume rose from 2.5525 million USDT to 6.6254 million, an increase of about 159.6%, or roughly 2.60 times the previous hour. Previously, as price rebounded while volume contracted, all we could do was watch whether selling pressure was easing. This time, participation clearly recovered, giving the breakout more weight. However, taker-buy volume was about 3.2946 million, or 49.7% of total volume, still below the previous hour’s 51.7%. Higher volume indicates more active trading; it does not by itself mean buyers were overwhelmingly in control, much less prove that a particular type of large player entered the market.

The price action was not especially smooth either: the low for the hour was 0.002360, which still dipped below the old repair zone; the high was 0.002545, and the candle ultimately closed at 0.002482, about 2.48% below the high. The low rose from 0.002323 in the previous hour, and the high also moved above the old reference level, so the structure has improved—but there was also a pullback from the high. Closing above the old high and holding the key zone throughout the entire hour are two separate things that need to be verified.

Open interest was about 4.1237 billion JCT at 20:00 and about 4.2102 billion at 21:00, an increase of roughly 2.10%. The simultaneous rise in price and volume, along with a modest increase in open interest, indicates that participation in the contracts expanded. But the OI figure does not tell us the direction of the new positions, nor does it represent net capital inflow. The latest settled funding rate is still the positive 0.012615% reading from 20:00; there is no new settlement reading for 21:00. We should not present an old funding rate as a change in the latest hour.

We should also be patient with the four-hour picture. The completed 16:00–20:00 candle closed at 0.002417, up about 2.68%. The 20:00–24:00 candle has completed only its first hour, so it cannot be compared directly with the volume of a completed four-hour candle, and we cannot declare a new four-hour trend confirmed.

The original Binance announcement confirms that JCT corresponds to Janction, and the project documentation describes an AI services and GPU resource marketplace. I found no newly verified catalyst from today that would explain this hour’s rise. The project’s vision and older listing news should not be treated as the cause of this breakout.

I’ll watch to see whether price can post a full close after a pullback near 0.002476, then whether it can move above 0.002545 with volume support. If it closes back below 0.002421, the breakout evidence should be downgraded; losing 0.002360 would also invalidate the improvement in the latest low. For now, this is a post-breakout test of whether buyers will step in—not enough to describe the next leg up as a sure thing.
