Each trading day, an ETF calculates its net asset value (NAV) per share based on the assets it holds. A trading price above NAV is called a premium; below NAV, a discount.
When tracking ETF fund flows, focus on cumulative trends over several weeks. Large inflows or outflows on a single day are often due to portfolio rebalancing by an individual institution.
