RLC suddenly surged, but I’m starting to worry about the people rushing in at the very top!
I checked the top gainers today, and RLC definitely stood out.
While the broader market is still struggling back and forth, it suddenly shot up by dozens of percentage points. Coins like this can easily trigger an urge to jump in: If I don’t buy now, am I going to miss out?
But right now, I’d rather watch to see whether it can hold on to its gains than chase the last green candle.
My short-term view is that RLC’s strength is still worth tracking, but the risk of a pullback is also rising quickly after such a sharp move.
There are two things I’ll be watching next.
If the price pulls back and forms a higher low, without any significant drop in trading volume, I’ll reconsider taking a small long position. I’d initially target the previous high, then follow the trend if it breaks through.
On the other hand, if it stalls after surging, with volume picking up, and then breaks below the low of its latest pullback, I’ll give up on chasing longs and instead look for opportunities to short a rebound.
But shorting doesn’t mean jumping in just because you see a red candle. I need to confirm that buyers really can’t support the price anymore.
As for position sizing, my first test trade would be just one-third of my planned position, with the stop-loss based on the actual entry structure.
What I most want to find out now is whether this move in RLC marks the start of a new trend or just a brief speculative frenzy.
That’s more interesting than guessing how much higher it can go.
