According to Galaxy Research, a wallet containing #Bitcoin that had been inactive since July 2010, during the Satoshi era, has moved 100 BTC. The coins were worth almost nothing 16 years ago but are now worth more than US$8,000,000. The 100 BTC were accumulated through mining rewards in July 2010, when each block awarded 50 BTC. At the time, that amount had virtually no significant market value—less than US$10 in total.
Although it is called the Satoshi era because it coincided with the early years when Bitcoin’s creator interacted with the community, experts clarify that there is no evidence linking the wallet directly to him; it most likely belongs to one of the network’s earliest pioneering miners.
