⚠️ South Korea just made its move, and KAIA surged 27% in 40 minutes! I saw this exact playbook last week

Just spotted this hot off the press—South Korea’s largest exchange, Upbit, announced about 40 minutes ago (16:06) that it was listing KAIA, opening KRW, BTC, and USDT markets all at once. KAIA jumped straight from 0.0379 to 0.0483, up 27.4%.

① First, the numbers (all checked live this time):
- KAIA, 16:00→16:42: 0.0379 → 0.0483, +27.4% (CoinGecko live data)
- BTC over the same period: 82589 → 82505, -0.1% (Kraken hourly chart)
- Excess gain = 27.4 - (-0.1) ≈ +27.5 percentage points—this was purely a listing-driven surge; the broader market barely moved

② The signals line up too: at 16:10, the signal feed showed smart money buying KAIA/USDT and open interest rising. Funds entered just 10 minutes after the announcement.

③ But don’t rush to chase it—looking through my listing tracker: PONS listed on Coinbase on October 7, and the post-announcement surge outperformed by +6.49%, but 24 hours later it had given back those gains and was down -1.91%. The playbook for a South Korean exchange listing with a KRW market is exactly the same: buy the announcement, sell the open. These surges usually give back most of their gains within 24 hours.

Bottom line: this move is event-driven, not a fundamental reversal. If you’re already holding, watch whether it can hold the 0.05 level; if you’re not in, chasing a +27% surge like this is basically volunteering to be exit liquidity for the first wave of buyers.
