Most of the liquidity is currently concentrated in the $87,200–$88,000 range. There’s also a large liquidation pool lower down, around $60,000.
I expect the price to reclaim and hold the $83,000 level, and I’ll be looking for long positions to continue the move upward. After such a prolonged run of limit levels being tested, the current bounce looks very weak, which means the main move is still ahead.
If the price can hold the $83,000 level at the NY open, we could reach the $87,000–$88,000 range fairly quickly.
I don’t believe the price will be pushed from current levels into the $70,000–$75,000 range that most people are expecting. When practically everyone expects the same scenario, the market often moves against the crowd. I don’t think it’ll be that obvious!
