$FIL The current price is around $1.09. It briefly fell below the $1 mark in the early hours before quickly recovering, indicating buying support near this level and signs of short-term resilience.

The key factor in this cycle is that the Filecoin mainnet launched on October 15, 2020. The six-year linear vesting schedule for Protocol Labs and the Filecoin Foundation will end on October 15, 2026.

According to project-side figures, current annual new supply comes mainly from two sources: approximately 66.7 million tokens released by institutions and the foundation, and approximately 21.7 million in block rewards, for a total of around 88.4 million.

Once the vesting ends, the first supply channel will close, leaving block rewards as the main source of new supply. Annual issuance will fall to around 22 million tokens, a roughly 75% drop in gross issuance. The annualized dilution rate of the circulating supply will decline from nearly 10% to slightly above 2%.

The market remains under pressure from macro liquidity conditions, while structural divergence within the sector persists. FIL traders should focus on price confirmation around October 15.

In the short term, if the price retests the area around $1 and holds, it could be viewed as an entry zone to watch ahead of the event. The first target is the previous high and resistance near $1.20.
