$ETH Ethereum is stuck at the 2,500 level. Above it lies a resistance zone formed by the moving averages; below it is the cost basis for countless traders. It’s caught between the two, and a major move could be just around the corner.

On the 2-hour chart, EMA 15/30/60 are all overhead, forming a textbook bearish alignment. The rebound from 2,357 after the plunge from 2,806 is an oversold bounce. The good news is that MACD has formed a golden cross below zero, with the red histogram growing to 8.5, so the decline has indeed eased.

But the Bollinger middle band at 2,519 has yet to be reclaimed. If price can’t get above it, it may pull back again. On the 15-minute chart, price is tracking the upper Bollinger band around 2,501, suggesting short-term strength. However, the MACD red histogram has shrunk to 0.45, and TD has printed Up9, indicating short-term overbought conditions. Watch for a pullback; support is at 2,490.

Trading plan

Go long if price pulls back to 2,490 and holds; stop-loss at 2,460, target 2,519.
Go short if price rebounds to 2,519 and stalls; stop-loss at 2,540, target 2,457.

Always use a stop-loss; don’t hold on to losing positions.

There’s never a shortage of opportunities in the market; what’s rare is the ability to hold on to them.

Respect the market. Staying in the game matters more than anything.
