Jefferies said Airbus delivered 72 aircraft in September, down 1% from a year earlier and four above the bank's prior estimate. According to Sina Finance, Airbus has delivered 8% more aircraft so far this year, but it still needs fourth-quarter deliveries to rise 13% year over year to meet its full-year target of 870 aircraft.

Jefferies estimated that Airbus's third-quarter commercial aircraft EBIT could face a negative impact of 100 million to 200 million euros from lower deliveries, changes in aircraft mix, and technical factors. The bank also said Airbus received 17 new aircraft orders in September, had three cancellations, and posted 14 net new orders, with the ratio of net orders to deliveries reaching 2.02 times this year.

Jefferies said Airbus delivered 72 aircraft in September, including 8 A220s, 59 A320neo-family jets, 2 A330neos, and 3 A350s. It added that A320-family deliveries were three above expectations, while A220 deliveries were one above expectations.

The bank said Airbus's third-quarter deliveries were five lower than a year earlier, and the share of A321 deliveries within the A320 family fell to 64% from 67% in the same quarter last year. Jefferies also estimated that Airbus had 66 aircraft ready to fly but not yet delivered at the end of the third quarter, up 23 from the end of the second quarter, plus about 35 to 40 unfinished aircraft fuselages in inventory.
