Futures market watch: two reminders and one reference

Before the price speaks, keep leverage quiet.

Futures care about just three sets of numbers. Everything else is noise.

1. BTC 82528, 24h range 80394–83283, change -0.05%.
2. BTC open interest notional: $7.64 billion, 24h -4.33%
3. Account-wide long/short ratio: 1.82

My take: The funding rate is 0.0069%, close to zero, and the long/short ratio is 1.82. Leverage hasn't picked a side. If it hasn't picked a side, don't use high leverage to pick one for it.

Execution zones (based on the current price ± market structure, not an old chart):
- Momentum zone: Only consider chasing if price gets above 83,188. Without a break above, it's a fake breakout.
- Buy the pullback: 81,538–82,033. Don't buy if it breaks below.
- No-trade zone: If the 1h candle closes below 81,043, I'm not taking this trade.

My position: Sitting out. The price hasn't picked a side, and leverage hasn't paid up. Opening a position now would be working for the exchange.

Would you dare add to your position at this funding rate?
