Near Intents suffered an exploit resulting in losses of more than $3.8 million (around Rp61 billion) after its hot wallet on the BSC network was targeted through several unusual outgoing transactions.

The hot wallet at address 0x233c immediately stopped processing transactions, and the status page showed an incident affecting several EVM networks. The stolen funds were quickly transferred to KuCoin and then converted into Bitcoin.

The Near Intents team moved quickly. A vulnerability involving the Omni deposit-withdrawal infrastructure and smart contract interactions was patched within an hour. Near Intents General Manager Alex Shevchenko even gave the attacker a 48-hour ultimatum, saying their identity had already been identified.

As a result, around October 1, the attacker returned all the funds. The on-chain message they left read: "We have returned all the funds. We were wrong." The investigation was officially closed.
