OGN at 3 A.M.

Chen stared at his phone screen, his fingers trembling slightly.

It was late one night in October 2026. He had just finished working overtime and returned to his rented apartment. Out of habit, he opened Binance to check the market. OGN was trading at 0.02245, down more than 15% on the day. The group chat was full of despair. Some said the coin was going to zero, others accused the market makers of dumping, and a few posted screenshots of their liquidations.

Chen had been following OGN for a while. Three months earlier, he’d seen someone in a tech community analyze the project’s on-chain data, saying the team had been quietly developing and wallet activity was slowly increasing. The price was 0.06 then, and he thought it was too expensive, so he didn’t buy. Later, when it dropped to 0.04, he hesitated but still didn’t buy. Now it had fallen to 0.022, and everyone was saying it was over.

But Chen made a decision. He used all the 8,000 USDT left in his wallet to buy OGN at market price. His average entry was 0.0225, and he ended up with about 350,000 tokens.

After buying, he went straight to bed. Honestly, he had already prepared himself for the possibility of it going to zero. He’d treat the 8,000 as tuition.

For the next two weeks, Chen barely checked the charts. He was busy with a project, working overtime until late every night. Every now and then, he’d open Binance and take a quick look. The price was still stuck between 0.02 and 0.03, and he figured it might really be dead.

Then came that Friday night.

He got a notification on the subway: OGN was up 30% in an hour. Thinking he’d read it wrong, he rubbed his eyes. The price had already shot up from 0.03 to 0.039. His heart raced, but he didn’t sell.

After he got home, the rally showed no signs of stopping. 0.04, 0.045, 0.05. People in the group chat started saying OGN was about to trend. More and more posts appeared on Binance Square, and new money was pouring in. Chen watched one green candle after another form on the chart, his palms slick with sweat.

The high was 0.05345.

His account was showing more than 120,000 in unrealized profit. From 8,000 to 120,000, in less than a month.

Chen didn’t get greedy. He sold everything at 0.052 and took his profits. Looking at the 180,000 USDT that had landed in his account, he let out a long breath.

Later, someone asked him, “How did you know it would go up?” Chen said, “I didn’t. But when everyone says it’s over, I think maybe it isn’t.”

He opened Binance Square and typed: “When others are afraid, at least have the courage to take a look.”

Then he turned off his phone and finally got a good night’s sleep.
