☪️ CRYPTO AND RIBA: WHAT SHOULD A MUSLIM KNOW?
Riba is among the matters explicitly prohibited in Islam.
Allah ﷻ says:
وَأَحَلَّ اللَّهُ الْبَيْعَ وَحَرَّمَ الرِّبَا
“Allah has permitted trade and forbidden Riba.”
(Qur’an 2:275)
In the world of crypto, not everything called “profit” is Riba.
A Muslim should consider:
🔹 How was the money obtained?
🔹 Is there a loan with a predetermined increase?
🔹 Does the profit come from permissible trade or from Riba?
🔹 Are there conditions involving Riba?
⚠️ Important: The mere fact that there is profit in crypto does not automatically mean that the profit is Riba. The ruling depends on the type of transaction and its conditions.
🎓 Learn first—then make decisions based on research and evidence.
