Monitoring by the PPP prediction market tool shows that the probability of “Gemini 4.0 will be released before October 9” on Polymarket fell to 3%, down 47% in 24 hours.
If Google officially releases Gemini 4.0 before the deadline and makes it available for public use—including through a public beta or an open-registration rolling waitlist—the market will resolve to “Yes”; otherwise, it will resolve to “No.”
Gemini 4.0 must be released explicitly under that name or officially recognized as the next-generation model after Gemini 3. Versions such as Gemini 3.0 Flash and Gemini 2.5 do not qualify.
Closed tests, private access, and models that are not actually available do not count. A version also counts as an official announcement if Google’s official website explicitly identifies it as qualifying and the public can actually access it.
Settlement is based primarily on official information from Google, with reference to the consensus among reports from reputable media outlets.
